Biden to discuss situation in Afghanistan with NATO members
The United States President Joe Biden will discuss the current situation in Afghanistan and the withdrawal of foreign troops with NATO member states.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_According to the media, the representatives of all 30 NATO member states will participate in the meeting to discuss the current situation in the country and make a final decision. Reports say that the countries will also discuss ways to further support the Afghan security forces in the war against the Taliban.
The NATO Secretary-General Jens said that the issue of Afghanistan will be on the top list during the summit and a unanimous decision will be reached. Recently, a key member of the Pentagon had said that the United States might send its troops back to Afghanistan if the security situation continues to deteriorate and the Taliban failed to reduce violence.
With the of US troops, the number of civilians killed by the Taliban has increased manifold, and the international community is concerned about the escalation of violence by the Taliban.
