Taliban battered, faces heavy casualties across Afghanistan: MoD
The Ministry of Defense on Tuesday stated that 157 Taliban were killed and 99 others were wounded in various Afghan National Defense and Security Forces’ operations over the past 24 hours
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_The ministry added that ANDSF also captured 22 militants during the operations.
According to the newsletter, 95 different types of IEDs and landmines were discovered and defused by the Afghan security forces.
The defense operations in which the Taliban suffered heavy casualties were conducted in Laghman, Kunar, Paktia, Wardak, Ghazni, Zabul, Herat, Farah, Balkh, Samangan, Jawzjan, Helmand, Nimroz, Takhar, Kunduz, and Baghlan provinces.
This comes as violence in Afghanistan have raged following the #US-Doha_agreement and the confirmation of foreign troops’ withdrawal from the country.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Interior affairs warned administrators of social media and chat groups to remove suspicious people who are campaigning against the Afghan National Defense and Security forces.
Tariq Arian, a spokesman for MoI said the Ministry will inform administrators of #WhatsApp_groups and other newsgroups to remove anonymous, suspicious people, terrorists, and murderers.
He said a number of terrorists have infiltrated some social media groups under the name of “Reporter” and are continuously spreading propaganda against ANDSF.
Arian added that intelligence units and operative teams are working on this matter, and administrators of such groups will be held accountable unless they don’t take action.

Arian also informed the public to check their vehicles after parking and be aware wherever they park their vehicles.
MoI indicated that the Taliban this time wants to use trucks and place roadside bombs and IEDs and in recent months many of the militant group’s subversive activities were exposed to the public and security forces.
