Provincial CID chief shot dead: Kapisa
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Security sources in Kapisa province confirmed that Mustaqim Khan, the commander of the provincial police Criminal Investigation Department was killed by unknown gunmen.
Shayeq Shoresh, a spokesman for Kapisa police HQ told the media that the incident happened on Friday in the -e-Sayed Khan area of PD1 in -Raqi city, the capital of Kapisa province.
Gunmen sprayed the police intelligence chief with bullets as he was returning to his home after Friday prayers.
It is reported that his brother was also injured during the shooting.
Following the incident locals in the province killed two Taliban attackers and hung their bodies on a tree.
Taliban on the other hand reacted to the killings of their two members and called the act inhumane and said the dead bodies of their members were insulted.
This comes as three civilians including a child were killed when their vehicle hit a Taliban planted IED in southern Uruzgan province on Saturday.
The incident happened in Sorkhbait area of Tarinkot city, officials said.
A woman and three children who were also traveling in the same vehicle were injured due to the blast.
No group including the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
