Azerbaijan to Open Embassy in Afghanistan
Afghan foreign ministry said in a statement Wednesday, that Azerbaijan will establish an embassy in Afghanistan, following the approval of the Azerbaijan parliament.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_The embassy will open due to efforts of the Afghan foreign ministry and its Embassy in , the statement read.
The Azeri parliament session was amended to create an opportunity for the approval of a bill for embassy establishment in Kabul.
The adopted a law on the establishment of its embassy in Afghanistan, according to the Azertac news agency.
“The Azerbaijani Parliament has adopted a law on the establishment of the ’s_embassy in Afghanistan, the city of Kabul,” Azertac reported.
Lawmakers noted Afghanistan’s support to the country and strong relations between the two countries.
This comes as a few weeks ago, Amanullah Jayhoon, the Afghan envoy to handed over his credentials to the country’s Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov.
Both of the officials emphasized the need to expand bilateral relations, and strengthen political, cultural, and trade relations between the two countries.
