ANA Safely Detonates Explosive-Laden Vehicle in Kandahar
KABUL, Afghanistan – The Afghan National Army (ANA) has destroyed a vehicle fully loaded with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), said the Ministry of Defense in a statement Tuesday, which targeted security forces in Arghandab district of Kandahar province.
According to officials, the -laden vehicle were detonated in an airstrike. No one has been harmed during the explosion.
No group of individual has immediately claimed ownership of the explosive.
Meanwhile, at least 16 IEDs were defused after ANA discovered the explosives in both Kandahar and Uruzgan provinces.
“16 IEDs which were placed by Taliban on public roads in Arghandab district of Kandahar province and Terin Kot district of province, were discovered and defused by ANA, yesterday,” said the MoD in a tweet.
