Doha: Peace Talks Delayed Until January 5
Afghan and Taliban negotiators have officially agreed on taking a break from negotiations in Doha, this break will last until January 5.
Both sides confirmed and announced on Twitter Saturday, stating they had shared initial ideas on agenda items and further discussions are still needed.
According to Nader Nadery, Afghan #peace_negotiation member, both sides “shared initial lists of agenda items and conducted preliminary discussions on the list”.
As agenda items need further consultation, both sides agreed for a recess and will resume the 2nd round of talks on January 5, 2021, Nadery tweeted.
