11 Busted over Multiple Criminal Charges in Herat
HERAT, Afghanistan – Afghan National Police (ANP) carried a series of operation in western province of Herat, said the Ministry of Interior Affairs in a statement Monday, arresting at least 11 suspects charged with multiple criminal offenses.
“11 suspects involving in different criminal cases were arrested during several separate raids carried out by ANP in #Herat City & its surrounding districts,” said MoIA in a tweet.
During the operation, security officials seized a huge numbers of arms and ammunition, including #stolen_gadgets and illicit drugs.
“ANP seized 1 AK-47 rifle, 4 pistols, 1 vehicle, 3 motorcycles, 7 cell phones & 500grams of #illicit_drugs from the detainees,” said the tweet.
The operation came at a time the government has strengthened its security measures against all types of criminal offenses, including #robbery extortion and drug trafficking throughout Afghanistan.
