Biden should Consider Doha Agreement, Taliban Say

The Taliban say newly elected US President Joe Biden should respect the Doha Agreement because it was not made with a single person but with the US government.

A spokesman for the Taliban told France press that the was with the US government and not with a single individual.

He pointed to Biden that the Taliban had made the agreement with the US government, not with one person, and that the new US administration needed to acclaim the agreement.

Taliban hopes Biden administration will abide by the Doha Peace protocols.

The Taliban signed a peace deal with the United States on February 28, based on which the Taliban will not attack the U.S. forces inside Afghanistan. The agreement requires U.S. government to withdraw their troops within 14 months since the intimation of peace process.

negotiation members have reached to an agreement with the American government before the elections.

Meanwhile, the Washington Post reports that Biden is trying to repeal all of Trump’s decrees in the early days of his presidency, including a peace deal between the United States and the Taliban.

On the other hand, some political analysts believe that Biden’s policy towards Afghanistan will be tough, according to the analysts prefers Pakistan over Afghanistan.

Intra-Afghan talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban in Doha have also stalled, as dozens of innocent Afghans being killed and wounded every day in the wake of the war.
