Afghanistan – At least four suspects were arrested over multiple charges Sunday, after the Afghan National Police carried several operations in capital city Kabul, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said.
Officials did not provide further details on the type offenses suspects are charged with, but said the arrest took place “within the implementing framework of the security covenant”.
“In the past 24 hours, ANP have arrested four criminals following several separate raids in Kabul City,” said MoIA in a tweet. “The arrest of these criminals took place within the implementing framework of the security covenant.”
The arrest came at a time officials tightens security measures throughout Afghanistan following widespread concerns over growing drug trafficking, arm robberies and kidnapping.
