Training center for customs agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan opens in Bishkek

This center will become a training ground, where customs officers will be able to improve their skills and study the advanced technologies in the work of the customs services of the world.

The opening ceremony of a new training center for customs agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan took place in Bishkek on November 1.

The ceremony was attended by Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Taiyrbek Sarpashev.

This center will become a training ground, where customs officers will be able to improve their skills and study the advanced technologies in the work of the customs services of the world.

The training center was opened under the project of the OSCE Center in Bishkek, “Capacity building of Kyrgyz and Afghan Customs Officers”, aimed at the development of good governance and support of the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan in the fight against economic and environmental transnational threats. In 2013-2014, the center will host specialized trainings for 360 officers of Kyrgyz and Afghan customs agencies.
