Four Turkish engineers kidnapped in E Afghanistan

"Unidentified armed men abducted four Turkish engineers in Dand- e-Patan district this morning and took them to unknown locations," Abdul Rahman Mangal, the deputy to provincial governor told Xinhua.

These engineers were going to construct barracks for Border Police Force in Dand-e-Patan district when the unknown armed men kidnapped them, he added.

"Search operation has been launched to locate and rescue the abducted engineers," Mangal further said.

This is the second incident of its kind over the past 10 days in the conflict-ridden Afghanistan.
