Suicide car bomber killed

A suicide car bomb attack against NATO-led troops in Baghlan province in north Afghanistan left only the attacker dead on Monday, Interior Ministry said in a statement.

"A suicide bomber riding a car blew it up next to the convoy of international troops in provincial capital Pul-e-Khumri at 10:30 a. m. local time today killing no others except self," the statement added.

There were no casualties on the foreign troops and civilians, the statement emphasized.

Anti-government militants have intensified activities as on Saturday the Taliban fighters carried out suicide attacks against UN office in the western Herat province but all the four attackers were killed.
