U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Ambassador James F. Dobbins will travel to Brussels, Belgium and Berlin, Germany from February 4 to 6 to consult with NATO Allies and partners on Afghanistan, the State Department said.
The State Department did not specify the agenda of consultations on Afghanistan but the visit takes place amid stalemate over conclusion of Bilateral Security Agreement between Washington and Kabul.
The accord will define the future U.S. and allies engagement with Afghanistan beyond 2014 once the Afghan war comes to an end.
