Afghan parliament on Wednesday approved the country's national budget for 2018 fiscal year.
AVA-The budget had been proposed by the government, with $5.128 billion expenditure allocation. Of the total, $3.829 billion would go toward general or administrative spending, while $1.299 billion would go toward development programs.
The Lower House of the parliament rejected the proposal, citing issues including lack of balance and significant lower allocation for development spending.
The House approved it with an increase by 17 billion afghanis ($242.8 million) in the development spending.
