Special Representative of UN Secretary General, Ambassadors of Central Asian states discuss development of political situation in Afghanistan
The Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Miroslav Jenča met with the Ambassadors of the Central Asian states in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.

Thus, Ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan accredited in Uzbekistan participated in the meeting.

The parties discussed water and energy issues in Central Asia, prospects for the development of the political situation in Afghanistan, as well as general issues of regional security including strengthening of state borders, combating terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking.
