Dr. Zakhailwal Attends Conference On Germany’s New Strategy On Afghanistan
Finance Minister Dr. Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal has attended the conference on Germany’s new strategy on Afghanistan from 2014 to 2017, in Berlin and delivered his statement on how Afghanistan can achieve self-sufficiency. 

Finance Ministry press office stated, before attending the conference, Dr. Zakhilwal held meeting with Dr. Gird Muller the German Minister for Economic and Development Cooperation and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation. In the meeting, Dr. Zakhilwal also congratulated Dr. Muller for assuming new post and expressed gratitude over inviting to attend the conference in Berlin. 

Both the ministers in the meeting also discussed on Afghanistan’s achievements in the sectors of health, education, good governance, developing privatization, democracy and capacity building and also stressed for the continuation of Germany’s support to Afghanistan in the decade of transformation. 

The finance minister in the conference on Germany’s new strategy for Afghanistan from 2014 to 2017 briefed about Afghanistan’s measures towards achieving self-reliance and said, “Afghanistan has made tremendous achievements in the fields of health, education, infrastructure, economy and providing more services over the past 13 years.” He also stated that Afghanistan at the moment not only experiencing political transition, rather experiencing economy and security transition and said, “We need the cooperation of donor nations including Germany to move towards a stable Afghanistan.”
