An education official was killed and his boss injured after a bomb attached to the vehicle they were travelling in exploded in Afghanistan's central Parwan province last night, police said Wednesday.

AVA- The education official Ata Mohammad Matin and the provincial education director Zalmai Shahid were on their way to home when their vehicle was bombed around 11:00p.m. in the provincial capital city, also Parwan.
They were returning from a Quran ceremony in the hostel of Parwan University.
Farhad Hashimi, a police official, said that the injured education director was taken to capital Kabul for treatment.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing.
Police launched an investigation into the incident.
