Afghan forces seize Pakistani bus with more than six tonnes of explosives
Afghan security forces have seized a Pakistani bus carrying 6,250 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, an ingredient of improvised explosives, officials said Monday.

Afghan Voice Agency(AVA), The discovery happened in Marko Bazzaar area of Ghani Kheil district in Nangarhar province which shares border with Pakistan.

The provincial governor’s office in a statement said that the material was hidden in 125 bags.

It was placed skilfully among clothes and was meant for destructive activities in the provincial capital city, Jalalabad.

A man identified as Esmatullah was arrested in connection with the smuggling, officials said.

Pictures attached to the statement showed the bus and yellow bags.

The discovery in Nangarhar comes nearly a week after Islamic State insurgents attacked the provincial station of state-run TV, killing at least six.
