Despite all kind of problems with which both Afgan nation and government are dealing now, soon-coming presidential election in Afganistan war-torn country is a mater of great interest to political parties being active as well as their foreign backers.
Due to the importance of this controversial political event may push Afganistan to better or keep it frozen again all press and mass media should be used to inform Afgan people perfectly to vote the most deserved candidate. All afghans know how Hamid Karzai came to power through the help of his supporters especially America. In fact people in Afganistan are waiting for if a powerful candidate will win the election by majority or one will be imposed. Feeling responsibility for our people and country, below we criticize with due impartiality the five most powerful personalities possibly presenting themselves as president candidates. Knowing positive and negative points about above personalities including Hamid Karzai , trying to stay president for another round, Jalali Ali Ahmad Zai Ashraf Ali , Zaher Mostafa and Shirzoy Gol Aga can help our people have a clear understanding of their choice.

Some people believe with no doubt Hamid Karza who has overseen the writhing and making most of the basic laws in Afganistan could be a good choice for whom finding a substitute is difficult. They bring Karzai's autocratically decisions as a president during his current presidency years that helped Afganistan came out of crucial period as a reason to support their prediction. According to above belief Karai has privilege over other possible candidates since he has presented himself as a powerful personality by making almost – correct decisions at the problematic social and political situations since 2001 when he first came to power. Unlike above belief, America is not so keen to have Karzai remained at his post because White house officials, with Bush at the top, believe the president of Afganistan have behaved on a way that has not been to U.S.A beneficial but to Afgan nation beneficial. This claimed strained relationship between Karzai and America could be translated into positive by Afgan people since they finally have found the one who serve their purposes but not foreign purposes. If so, Afgan nation themselves can be problem solver by helping Karzai to stay president for another round. There is the third group who believe Karzai has made so many mistakes that no one can even think of his winning.

Jalali Ali Ahmad could be another powerful candidate and even election winner since his close tie with democrat party in America has given him privilege to his possible rivals. But some critic views say there is no chance for him since neither does he belong to Pashto majority race, nor did he take any step while he was minister in Karzai cabinet. Also, he never announced the list of those who were drug-smuggler that he had promised to do. Therefore, he is not considered as a brave, decisive person with good plan to be elected.

The third possible candidate, Ahmad Zai Ashraf Ali, whom American, especially democrat party, support have privilege to his rival, Jalali. Another reason sharpening the sense of his victory is the high implementation potential he showed during his presenc in Karzaie cabinet as an official. But two below reasons are enough to think his victory or even nomination is far. His suffering from cancer as he himself has confessed and belonging to nomad tribe has made it difficult for him to compete for the election. In addition to all above, Hezare tribe, as a remarkable population in Afganistan, haven’t got a good impression of him due to the recent attack of nomad tribe to Hezare resident territories.

Mostafa Zaher, son of late King Zaher shah, could be another candidate who seeks his chance, but a lot believe he is too fragile and less qualified to be a president.

Gandahar current governor, Shirzoy Gol Aga, who has been trained and grown with years of Jihad has the most in common with Afgan native people. He is a lot different comparing to those grown and trained academically abroad and been imposed to Afganistan as high rank officials. Shirzoy , determined a native figure, has been a close friend to democrat party in America , that is why Obama met him first before meeting anyone else. Although he is not as qualified and educated as the others, he has made so good and proper decision that two provinces, Gandahar and Nangarhar, has notably been rebuilt. His acceptable international and national publicity as long as his belonging to Pashto tribe, that have the long lasting background of ruling Afganistan , could guarantee his victory. But there are some criticisms like his sharp disagreement with adding Islamic suffix to the name of Afganistan at early meeting of Loya Jirga has imaged him as the almost anti-Islam person. Graet Ayato-lah Mohseni, who had suggested adding Islamic suffix, was one of those who were angry at him because of his opposing.

Despite all above prediction, some believe a dictated future president will leave both candidates and participants wondered. It sound strange, but we should believe since Afanistan election has not been given full authority. Whoever will be the future president he should bear below things in his mind and feel himself obligated to obey them. Islam, religion of people, independence of the country, determining the date of foreign force withdraw from Afganistan, finding ways of better relationship with our neighbors and helping people improve their economic lives are the deep concerns that should be resolved.
