Sources said the policemen were killed when a group of Taliban fighters attacked their check post in Nawa district.

AVA- At least 10 police force members were killed in a Taliban attack in Nawa district in Helmand province, sources said on Saturday.

According to the sources Taliban attacked a police check post in Samad Square in Nawa district on Friday night, killing 10 policemen.
 
Provincial governor spokesman Omar Zwak however confirmed that two policemen were killed and 10 others were wounded in the attack.
 
Zwak said Taliban has also sustained casualties in the ambush. However, he did not give details in this respect.
 
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
