Speaker of Parliament of Kazakhstan holds meetings with Speakers of Afghanistan, Pakistan
Chairman of Mazhilis of the Kazakh Parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin held a number of bilateral meetings within the 130th Assembly of Inter-parliamentary Union that takes place in Genève, the press service of Mazhilis reported Monday.

Mr Nigmatulin and Speaker of National Assembly of the Pakistani Parliament Sardar Ayaz Sadiq discussed the question of strengthening of inter-parliamentarian cooperation on ensuring peace and stability in the region. The officials expressed interest in expanding trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

In addition, Kazakh Mazhilis Chairman and Speaker of Wolesi Jirga Abdul Rauf Ibrahim had talks on international and bilateral topics. Nurlan Nigmatulin said that on the initiative of Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan renders economic and humanitarian assistance regularly, educational program for the youth of Afghanistan is implemented successfully.

Mr Abdul Rauf Ibrahim expressed his gratitude to the Kazakh people and President Nazarbayev for great support in trade, economic, social, humanitarian spheres, construction and health care industries as well.

The sides have agreed to develop inter-parliamentary relations.
