Suicide Bombers Storm TV Station in Nangarhar
Suicide bombers stormed the state television offices in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad on Wednesday, officials said, with heavy fighting underway and a large number of casualties feared.

Afghan Voice Agency(AVA), The office of the governor of Nangarhar Province, where Jalalabad is, said four attackers had stormed the building. Two of the attackers had been killed, and security forces were trying to track down the other two.

At least two people have been killed and six others injured, the governor’s office said. But Najibullah Kamawal, the provincial health director, said hospitals had received 14 wounded and one dead.

Witnesses reported multiple loud explosions and continuing gunfire.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. The Taliban and affiliates of the Islamic State are active in the province.
